The following are the different levels of commitments and standards of devotional service that one can practice at home while carrying out one’s regular duties.
- Shraddhavan
- Attend online Gita Study Circle (GSC) programs & render voluntary service
- Minimum one round of japa (of Hare Krishna Maha mantra) everyday
- Reads Srila Prabhupada books regularly
- Sevaka
- Complete the reading of the book titled “Beyond birth & death”
- Minimum of 4 rounds of japa everyday
- Min 3 months from Shraddhavan (or recommendation from faculty for promotion to next level); Attend unit test & final exam
- Refrain from non-vegetarian food
- Accepts Sri Krishna as the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Engage in practical devotional service regularly on festivals and on week-ends
- Includes recommendations of previous level(s)
- Sadhaka
- Completely read “Raja Vidya” & “Perfection of Yoga”
- Minimum of 8 rounds of japa everyday
- Min 3 months from Sevaka
- No illicit sex, intoxication including coffee & tea, gambling, meat eating
- Follows basic Sadhana like rising early in the morning, worshipping the Lord at home, offering food, etc
- Fasting on Ekadashi & festival days
- Participate in Gita Marathon
- Grihasta and employed singles: To raise donations for Gita Marathon & distribute books on a regular basis according to one’s means

- Vandana
- Completely read “Science of self-realization”
- Minimum of 12 rounds of japa everyday
- Min 3 months from Sadhaka
- No illicit sex, gambling, intoxication including coffee & tea, meat eating including onion & garlic.
- Following a daily sadhana program including rising early, a simple morning program consisting of one arati, Guru Puja & hearing Srimad Bhagavatam Class
- Includes recommendations of previous level(s)
- Charanashraya
- Read “Bhagavad-Gita As It Is”
- Minimum of 16 rounds of japa everyday
- Minimum of 3 months from Vandana
